1+1=3
Today is the day I can finally spill the beans! More importantly, today is the day my mom & mother-in-law can spill the beans. They've been hardly containing themselves, but I am SO proud of them for not saying one little peep. Seriously, go Mom & Kathy. Anyway, I'm sure you've deduced by now the big news: I'm prego! And we are beyond excited! I already have the nursery planned, the shopping list made and a bunch of other crazy things you would be scared to know about. The hubby and I are SO happy and a wee bit nervous of what's to come ahead. I'm mostly nervous about the whole delivery part and the fun that will be. Woo hoo. But the little guy (or girl, but I'm convinced it's a boy) will be hereafter referred to as "the orange seed". That's what the hubby and I call him anyway, he's already the size of a large plum, but when we found out I was pregnant he was only the size of an itty bitty orange seed. So we named him accordingly. World, please meet little orange seed. Orange Seed, please say hello to the world. It's your debut and you're not even born yet. Talk about being famous. Just don't let it go to your peanut sized head.

Random thoughts and a cool quote.
Awesome quote. Remind me to remind myself of this more often. Please and thank you.
Welp, sorry for the lack of picture posts lately, or really any posts in general. I've only done two this week. Boo. Once our gonna-be-awesome dance showcase is over next week I'll be free as a bird. Oh, until finals hit the next week. THEN I'll be good. Oh, that is until the next weekend when the hubby and I go to LA for my co-MOH's wedding. {Super stoked D!} Okay, but THEN I should be able to keep up a fairly normal blog routine. For reals. Until then, hit and miss blog posts are gonna be the up and coming trend 'round these here parts. For now, here are a couple random thoughts for you:
- Thanks to a delicious Easter basket from my dear mother-in-law, my past love for Hershey's Cookies n' Creme bars has been reinvigorated. Score.
- I cannot walk past the freezer section without buying like 3 items. Even in times when the hubby dreads opening it for fear of getting hit by one of my many ice cream/fruit bar novelties.
- Everyone should make designs on their table with the pledge before shinning it up nice and pretty. It=Awesome.
- I hate throwing away fresh flowers, so I usually let them wither and die for a good 2 days past when I should dump them and then give myself a mental slap on the hand for not doing it sooner.
- I need lots of new summer things. NEED people. Pastel skinnies, a mustard colored cardigan, new gladiator sandals, a chambray button up, a plaid lightweight button up since mine has mysteriously disappeared, neon wedges, maxi skirts, jean shorts, new flowy t-shirts. Good thing I just paid off my Nordy's credit card. It's a perfect time to whip it out again. Right?
- I've developed a new found liking of Nicklecreek. It makes me feel like I should live in the country and sing some bluegrass myself.
- I love new socks.
- Why do colleges never have an "unsubscribe" button at the bottom of their emails? I've transferred around a TON and now I get swarms of emails from different colleges. Oh and when you CAN unsubscribe from an email and they send you an email saying you're unsubscribed isn't it the most ironic terrible thing ever? Just stop it, people.
- When an awesome song is playing you feel like you can conquer the world. When a terrible song is playing you feel like you're bleeding from your ears and do anything to stop it.
- I'm in a constant state of wanting to cut bangs again and remembering how much work my naturally curly hair makes them.
- Farmer's Markets are probably the best things EVER. Oh and fair food.
- Chocolate covered pomegranate seeds from Costco will be the death of me.
- Apparently I'm 70 years old because pretty much every evening I watch Wheel Of Fortune & Jeopardy. I feel super smart when I get a puzzle or answer right. Last night I even capped off the fun by being thoroughly entertained by the Antiques Roadshow. I need help.
- I'm deathly afraid of giving something the "thumbs up" on Pandora, because that means it'll play that same. exact. song. a million bajillion times.

Glutenholics Anonymous
Hi, my name is Laura and I have an addiction to gluten. It's been four days since I've last eaten anything glutenlicious. After my binge last week I definitely felt the effects all weekend that caused me to miss Easter Sunday church AND dinner! My cute mother-in-law had even made an elaborate gluten-free AND vegetarian meal that I had to skip out on due to the tweaked back and gluten sickness. I still feel so bad about that (sorry Kathy!) Anyway, the hubby is now putting me on a strict no-gluten diet until I learn to balance it a little more. Needless to say I've been going through withdrawals and as popular as gluten-free is getting, we're still a rare enough breed to make it a wee bit difficult. So the hubby and I made a gluten free pizza crust last night and tried to replicate CPK's California Club pizza, which is SO good. The crust was only so-so but the toppings made up for it. I'd like to think it was a success. Now let's see how long I can last before relapsing again. Wish me luck, I'll need it.

Lightning
I know they tell you that when it rains it pours, but what they don't mention is that there's also lightning. And sometimes you get struck by said lightning. Without going into too many gory details, that lightning came in the form of me tweaking my already pretty messed up back at our eight hour dance practice on Saturday. Just that alone would have been rough, but it was another blow after a LONG chain of blows. Not to mention that our big dance show is coming up in exactly one week and I still have the end of a dance to learn - complete with awesome lifts. Man, alive. Okay, the pity party for one is officially over. Thanks for coming and bringing balloons. They look rad. But honestly, I am just so glad that my awesome hubby is so...well...awesome. Without being asked or even nudged he's done the dishes, laundry, cleaned the kitchen, stocked the fridge with slim fast shakes and water for my 6am dance practices and let me call and interrupt him at work to cry/whine/whatever. He's seriously the best. I give you all permission to be jealous now.

Thanks a lot, GH.
This is what happens when I talk about Great Harvest. The next day I look up the closest possible location and report to said location pronto. And then I eat another piece out of the loaf I bought on my way home. And then I make the first of the season fresh strawberry & peanut butter sandwich with an additional two pieces. Trust me, it sounds weird, but it is delicious. Gosh darn you, GH! Why did you have to be on my way home from school? I blame you for the loaf of bread I will be consuming within the next two days. And just in time for swimsuit season. At least I bought the healthy honey wheat, even though my newly found out about gluten allergy won't care. It's a good thing you're awesome, GH, otherwise we would no longer be friends. Okay, who are we kidding? We both know I'm weak when I see your sweet buns. You really are the BEST

I hate waiting.
Anyone else ever think of this when you're forced to wait around for a dr appt or a class to start or whatever? When I first got my iphone I thought, oh my GOSH I'm never going to be bored again! Dear Camera
I swear my camera has been acting funky lately. Maybe it was something I said. Hopefully this will help:
Dear Mr. Nikon,
I officially apologize for whatever I did to you, please stop taking out of focus & grainy pictures. Otherwise I will have to replace you. The hubby already wants to, so I'm your last shot. Hahahaha, get it? Shot? Man I'm funny, you really should try harder to keep me around.
Thank you kindly,
Me
I wore this outfit a bit ago but hence the pics being weird I've procrastinated posting it, but I kinda like it sooooooo blame Mr. Temperamental Nikon, not me.

Weekly Pinterest Picks
This is week 2 of being on time with the weekly pinterest post! Say whhhaaa?! I've got to hurry and post this one cuz homemade pot pies just don't make themselves. Wouldn't it be so rad if they did? I mean they did when I was growing up.....hey Mom - you wanna come show me how pot pies make themselves again? Say in t-minus 3 minutes? Thanks, you're a peach :)
When I saw these, I literally told the hubby that I needed to host a breakfast party stat. He laughed and said, "Of course you do."
{Mini Pancake Skewers pinned here}
Is it possible for a girl to love bread more than chocolate? Cuz this girl does. I rarely go to Great Harvest because when I do the loaf is gone within 2 days. Apparently this girl also has no self-control.
{1 hour "Miracle Bread"}
Oh thank goodness, I was for sure worried about this one.

Enough said.

What would a Pinspired post be without a glam dress and a comment about how much I need it? Ps - I also need the shoes and belt....and as long as we're at it I'll take the hair too.

This is so precious. I'm going to force my son to take this picture with me whenever I have a son to force. But it won't look forced at all. Right?

So the other day this may have happened to me. And I may have waited about two minutes before the guy, who shall remain nameless, got it and laughed. I may have been relieved he didn't think I was stupid, but then I may have started second-guessing his own intelligence. Since it was 6 in the morning, I may have been willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. You're welcome, nameless guy.

And lastly the quintessential funny of the week. Aren't you guys so glad I'm so funny? Or at least pin funny things? Good, I'll take your silence as the affirmative.
{But not you guys, you're all great. Image here}
